Martella’s Pharmacy is looking for a friendly and reliable full-time Retail Clerk to join our team at our Franklin Street location. We are especially interested in individuals with experience as a Front-End Store Clerk or with a background at Rite Aid or similar retail environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting and engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

  • Operating a cash register to ring up purchases, including lottery tickets, post office transactions, and dry cleaning services

  • Supporting daily retail operations and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor

  • Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient front-end experience

Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work well as part of a team

  • Prior customer service or retail experience preferred

  • Familiarity with basic register operations and point-of-sale systems is a plus

Part-Time Delivery Driver

Location: Johnstown, PA (and surrounding areas)

Schedule: Part-time, weekday afternoons with occasional weekends

Summary: We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Delivery Driver to join the Martella’s Pharmacy team. This part-time position plays an important role in helping us care for our community by delivering prescriptions and other pharmacy items directly to our customers' doors.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely and promptly deliver prescription medications and pharmacy items to customer homes

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures when needed

  • Communicate with the pharmacy team about any delivery issues or delays

  • Represent Martella’s Pharmacy with courtesy and professionalism

  • Handle all items with care and maintain patient privacy at all times

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Familiarity with Johnstown and surrounding areas preferred

  • Friendly attitude and strong sense of responsibility

  • Ability to lift light packages and navigate stairs when needed


Retail Pharmacist

Location: Johnstown, PA, area

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (rotating schedule) / Rotating Saturdays / No Sundays

Summary: To assist in planning, coordinating and managing pharmacy operations so as to control costs, provide a pleasant, courteous experience for the patient and a positive working conditions for workforce members. To process healthcare providers prescription orders, mix and compound prescriptions, and give patient consultations as needed.

Duties (this list is not exhaustive)

  • Reviews and process medication orders, and provides information and advice to patients

  • Provides information and advice to patients

  • Ensures safe medication use, monitors patient history, and stays updated on advancements in medicine

  • Ensures pharmacy standards are met

  • Assists with managing an inventory control system

  • Ensures that safe working conditions are maintained

  • Sets an example of personal integrity, appearance and ethical business practices which provides a standard of conduct for all department personnel

Education/Experience:

  • Successfully completed the coursework and graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy

Qualifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the state board of pharmacy as a registered pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania

  • Must be comfortable with pharmacy-related software, in addition to any other software programs needed to manage a pharmacy efficiently

Martella's Pharmacy is always looking to hire Pharmacy Technicians

Compensation Range based on qualifications.

Summary/Job Description: Under the direction of the pharmacist and operating by approved workflow protocol, assists the pharmacist to provide medicinal products accurately, safely, and confidentially to customers in a retail setting. This job requires standing 100% of the time. Must achieve, after a reasonable training period, and continuously demonstrate thereafter competence with various processes, such as, but not limited to:

  • Interacting with customers

  • Obtaining and neatly recording information relative to each customer’s prescriptions

  • Finding the right medication or gift item in inventory

  • Counting or measuring accurately

  • Filling and labeling prescription containers and bags

  • Using various computer screens to aid in customer service, prescription fulfillment, and inventory assessment

  • Answering questions that do not require the pharmacist’s expertise

  • Understanding and following laws, policies, and practices relative to the protection of their information and the privacy of each customer.

    This position requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in pharmacy or medical programs may be helpful but not required. One calendar year of successful work experience in pharmacy or medical settings is preferred.

    Employees are required to work Saturdays and expected to have scheduling flexibility throughout the week. Saturdays are scheduled on a rotational basis but there may be an occasional variance. The Ligonier Pharmacy’s operational hours are currently: MON-FRI 9 AM to 6 PM and SAT 9 AM – 1 PM.
